Exclusive: Allu Arjun–Sukumar Likely To Reunite For Pushpa 3 in 2027

If everything goes as planned, Allu Arjun will become the second Indian actor after Kamal Haasan (Indian 3) to headline a three-part franchise.

If reliable sources are to be believed, the sensational duo of reigning star Allu Arjun and ace filmmaker Sukumar is all set to reunite once again — this time for the third installment of their blockbuster Pushpa franchise.

Contrary to earlier speculation, the makers never considered combining Pushpa: The Rise and Pushpa: The Rule into a single extended saga, like Baahubali: The Epic. A source close to the production clarifies, “That idea was never on the cards because the makers have been planning an original and exciting third part of this hugely successful franchise.”

The source further notes that both Allu Arjun and Sukumar recognized the immense potential of continuing the story after witnessing the overwhelming response to the first two films. “Sukumar has already discussed with his core team and assigned them the task of developing a script that could surpass the earlier parts in content, visuals, and the hero’s character arc,” the insider reveals.

Interestingly, a few portions of Pushpa 3 were reportedly shot during the making of Pushpa: The Rule, leading to extended filming schedules. “By the end of Pushpa 2, both Allu Arjun and Sukumar decided to team up again after completing their upcoming commitments. Allu Arjun will first finish his film with Atlee, expected to wrap by early 2027, while Sukumar will complete his project with Ram Charan, scheduled to begin in April 2026 and finish within a year. The two are likely to reunite by mid-2027 to kick-start the new journey,” the source adds.

If everything goes as planned, Allu Arjun will become the second Indian actor after Kamal Haasan (Indian 3) to headline a three-part franchise. “With audiences increasingly embracing sequels, Pushpa 3 could usher in the era of trilogies in South Indian cinema, further boosting Allu Arjun’s pan-India popularity,” the source concludes.
