Dhurandhar Choreographer Reveals Tamannaah Bhatia Was Considered for Shararat Song
Vijay revealed that the initial plan was to cast Tamannaah Bhatia in Shararat, but this was later rejected by director Aditya Dhar, who wanted to keep the balance intact in the movie.

Dhurandhar has maintained its limelight since its release, with its remarkable performance at the box office testifying to the appreciation it has received. Apart from the intriguing plot, another highly discussed feature of this movie is the energetic song Shararat, starring Ayesha Khan and Krystle D’Souza.
However, choreographer Vijay Ganguly has now revealed an interesting piece of information related to this track. In a recent conversation with Filmygyan, Vijay revealed that the initial plan was to cast Tamannaah Bhatia in Shararat, but this was later rejected by director Aditya Dhar, who wanted to keep the balance intact in the movie.
As told by Vijay: Aditya was very clear that he did not want an “item song” that felt disconnected from the story. He believed that including the single star performer may shift the focus of the audience from the story. As he told: “If it was only one girl, it would have shifted the focus from the story. That’s why there are two girls and not one. If it’s Tamannaah, then the focus would have shifted from the story to her.”
He also said, "The fact is, there is a lot going on in this movie, and putting a self-contained song in there would break up the momentum." The vision, according to him, was that of not just allowing a song to be a visual background, but to be a part of this story in a way that complements it.
