Debutant Ghattamaneni Jaya Krishna Says He Is a Mahesh Babu Fanboy

Debutant actor Ghattamaneni Jaya Krishna, son of late actor Ramesh Babu and grandson of legendary Telugu cinema icon Krishna, unveiled his grandfather’s statue in Vijayawada and spoke emotionally about carrying forward the family legacy.
Recalling a special connection, Jaya Krishna said, “Exactly 41 years ago, noted producer Aswini Dutt made Agniparvatham with my grandfather Krishna. In 1999, the same banner launched my uncle Mahesh Babu with Raja Kumarudu. Today, I feel fortunate to be introduced by the same banner.” He added that he would give his “100 per cent” to his debut film Srinivasa Mangapuram, which is being directed by Ajay Bhupathi.
With Jaya Krishna’s entry, the Ghattamaneni family welcomes its third generation into the Telugu film industry. The film is currently under production, and the first-look poster of the actor has already created a buzz among fans and industry circles.
Speaking with visible emotion, Jaya Krishna expressed gratitude to his grandfather, saying, “I always feel that my grandfather Krishna is by my side, guiding me in everything I do.” His speech reflected humility, confidence, and the values passed down through his illustrious family.
He also acknowledged the support and guidance of his uncle, Superstar Mahesh Babu, who released the first look of Srinivasa Mangapuram. “Mahesh Babu has always been like a mentor to me. I am a diehard fan of his,” Jaya Krishna said, expressing heartfelt gratitude.
