Chiranjeevi Rules Out Politics, Faces Backlash Over Only Girls Remark

Megastar Stirs Debate With Comment on Family Legacy

Megastar Chiranjeevi recently attended the pre-release event of legendary comedian Brahmanandam’s film Brahma Anandam in Hyderabad. During the event, he reflected on his bond with Brahmanandam and shared insights on politics and cinema.

Addressing speculation about his political comeback, Chiranjeevi firmly ruled it out. "I will stay away from politics for a lifetime. I meet political leaders only for matters related to the film industry. Many rumors are circulating about my return, but my focus remains solely on cinema and my fans," he clarified.

He also expressed confidence in his brother Pawan Kalyan’s leadership and commitment to public service. "My goals will be fulfilled by Pawan Kalyan," he said, praising his brother’s vision and philanthropic efforts.

However, a lighthearted remark during the event sparked controversy. When anchor Suma joked that his granddaughter Klin Kaara resembled him, Chiranjeevi responded, "At home, I don’t feel like I’m with my granddaughters—I feel like a warden in a ladies’ hostel. There are only girls around me, not a single boy. I request Charan to make sure to have a boy next time so that our legacy continues." He added, "But my son loves daughters so much that I fear he might have another girl."

The video of his remarks quickly went viral, drawing mixed reactions online. While some criticized his comment as outdated and patriarchal, others defended it as a harmless joke. The discussion has since become a trending topic on social media.
