Brahmanandam Indebted To Audience For His Illustrious Career
Brahmanandam also thanked social media users for keeping him relevant among younger audiences. “I am thankful to the meme creators who made me a ‘meme god’ and kept me alive on social media,” he said with a smile.

Veteran comedian Brahmanandam expressed his gratitude to the Telugu audience for sustaining his career for more than four decades in the film industry. “I have crossed many hurdles to reach this position. I am deeply indebted to the Telugu film audience,” he said.
Thanking producers, directors, and technicians, Brahmanandam said their support helped him enter the Guinness Book of World Records for acting in the highest number of films. “This achievement would not have been possible without the filmmakers who believed in me and worked with me,” he added. He has done over 1000 films in his career.
Speaking at the celebrations marking his 70th birthday, Brahmanandam recalled the late director Jandhyala's contribution. “I am forever grateful to Jandhyala garu, who introduced me to films, along with Chiranjeevigaru and Rama Naidu garu. They saw a spark in my talent and encouraged me,” he said. He added that Aha Naa Pellanta proved to be a turning point in his career, after which he never looked back.
The actor said his television shows on Doordarshan also received an overwhelming response and helped him become a household name. “I strongly believe Lord Venkateswara Swamy blessed me with such a wonderful career,” he noted.
Brahmanandam also thanked social media users for keeping him relevant among younger audiences. “I am thankful to the meme creators who made me a ‘meme god’ and kept me alive on social media,” he said with a smile.
Urging respect for comedians, he said dignity should never be compromised. “My 40-year journey taught me the importance of giving space to the next generation and ageing gracefully. Introspection is necessary to lead a happy and peaceful life,” he said, adding that while erring is human, one should strive not to repeat mistakes. “People often notice a few wrong notes while ignoring all the good work,” he observed.
Several comedians, including L.B. Sriram, Babu Mohan, Pragathi, Raghu Babu and Bithiri Sathi, attended the event. Brahmanandam also thanked Andhra Pradesh Deputy Speaker Raghu Rama Krishna Raju for gracing the occasion.
