Boyapati Srinu Bags Rs 40 Crore for Akhanda 2
The hitmaker-director joins the top league as he reportedly commands a massive fee for helming the much-awaited Balakrishna sequel.

Renowned Telugu director Boyapati Srinu is reportedly charging an eye-popping ₹40 crore for his upcoming action-packed sequel Akhanda 2, according to industry sources.
His winning streak with actor Nandamuri Balakrishna, featuring past hits like Simha, Legend, and the blockbuster Akhanda, has given him the leverage to command this premium fee. “With Akhanda 2 building on the massive success of its predecessor, Boyapati is capitalising on his brand value and proven track record,” says an insider.
Akhanda was a commercial juggernaut, collecting over ₹80 crore in share revenue. The sequel, reportedly budgeted at over ₹160 crore, includes the director’s substantial pay. “Boyapati is deeply involved in every creative and production aspect — from scripting and dialogues to location scouting — ensuring cinematic grandeur,” the source adds. With this deal, Boyapati now stands shoulder-to-shoulder with top-tier Telugu directors like Koratala Siva and Sukumar in terms of remuneration.
