Jacqueline, you have been in the industry for 16 years now. How have things changed for you, and what kind of growth do you see in yourself as an actor?
It has been an incredible journey! Over these years, I have evolved both as an actor and as a person. From my first film to now, I have had the opportunity to experiment with various genres and work with some of the most talented people in the industry. With every project, I have learned something new—whether it’s about the craft, discipline, or pushing my own boundaries. What keeps me going is my love for performing and the drive to constantly reinvent myself. I believe growth comes with experience, and after 16 years, I feel more confident, versatile, and creatively fulfilled than ever.
You have worked with all the A-listers in the industry, from Sidharth Malhotra to Akshay Kumar. How has your experience been?
I consider myself really fortunate to have shared screen space with such incredible co-stars. Every actor brings their own style and energy to a film, and I have learned so much from each collaboration. The best part of working with a strong ensemble is how much you grow as a performer—it pushes you to elevate your game. I have always been open to learning, and these experiences have helped me refine my craft.
You will soon be seen in a comic caper, ‘Welcome to the Jungle’. How has your experience been shooting with such a massive cast?
It has been a rollercoaster of fun! When you are on a set with so many talented and energetic actors, every day is filled with laughter and great moments. The energy on set is infectious, and there’s never a dull moment. Welcome to the Jungle is shaping up to be a complete entertainer, and I can’t wait for audiences to experience the madness!
Share some fun anecdotes from the film.
Oh, there are so many! Between takes, we have had impromptu dance battles, hilarious pranks, and endless inside jokes. The camaraderie among the cast has made this project extra special. I wish I could share more, but you will have to wait for the behind-the-scenes footage!
You will also be seen in Housefull 5. Are you consciously choosing comedy, or is it just happening organically?
Comedy has been a big part of my career, and I genuinely enjoy it. It’s a genre that allows me to connect with the audience in a fun and lighthearted way. At the same time, I have always believed in maintaining a balance by exploring different roles and genres. For me, the most important thing is to be part of projects that excite me and challenge me as an actor.
Your dance reel with Sonam Bajwa on Kala Activa went viral—what do you have to say about it?
It was such a spontaneous and fun moment! Dance has always been a passion of mine, and when I see people enjoying what I put out, it makes it even more special. Social media has given us such a great platform to share these moments, and I love how people connect with them.
You have stayed on top of your game for over a decade and carved a niche for yourself. What’s the secret to your longevity?
I think it’s about constantly evolving, staying passionate, and never getting too comfortable. The industry changes so fast, and you have to keep up, reinvent yourself, and push boundaries. I have been fortunate to work on projects that resonate with audiences, but I also make sure to challenge myself—whether it’s through my film choices, collaborations, or even international projects. You have to keep growing and adapting, and that’s what keeps me excited about my work.
You have also worked on international project and gave you global popularity. How has that experience shaped you as an actor?
It’s been a fantastic experience! Working on international projects gives you a fresh perspective on filmmaking. Working on international projects has been an incredible learning experience and has definitely expanded my reach globally. Collaborating with artists like Jean-Claude Van Damme in ‘Kill ‘Em All 2’ and working on music projects with Michele Morrone and Dystinct have given me the opportunity to explore different styles of storytelling and performance. It’s exciting to step into diverse creative spaces and bring something new to the table each time. These experiences have helped me grow as an actor, adapt to different working cultures, and challenge myself in ways I wouldn’t have otherwise. It’s also amazing to see how cinema and entertainment connect people across borders, and I feel grateful to be part of that global exchange.
