Rishab Rikhiram Flaunts Ram Mandir Watch, Is It Divine Timing?

For a film like Ramayana, wearing “Ayodhya” on your wrist at the launch event reinforces your connection to the story.

At the Ramayana event, sitar maestro Rishab Rikhiram Sharma let his wrist do the talking. He wore Jacob & Co.’s Ram Janmabhoomi watch, a gold tribute piece priced between ₹35.8 lakh and ₹1.08 crore. Of course, timing is everything.

Wearing a theme-matched watch is hardly random. Luxury timepieces tied to cultural themes signal that the star is not just hired talent but is also spiritually invested in the project. For a film like Ramayana, wearing “Ayodhya” on your wrist at the launch event reinforces your connection to the story.

The watch was created to commemorate the historic consecration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Its dial features a finely carved relief of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple alongside Lord Ram, Lord Hanuman, and the inscription “Jai Shree Ram” at the 6 o’clock position. Only 49 pieces were made, and 35 have already been sold.

Meanwhile, the sitarist is backing Ramayana for success long before its theatrical release. After debuting his track Rama Rama at the film’s Pratham Sankalp event, Sharma shared a heartfelt note that is now making waves online, revealing that he is manifesting an Oscar win for the project.
