Deepika Padukone has begun shooting for the final schedule of Raaka, marking her last on-set commitment before she takes a maternity break. The latest schedule of the Allu Arjun-starrer commenced in Mumbai this week, with the makers prioritising the actress' portions to ensure they are completed before August.
Several key scenes featuring Deepika and Allu Arjun are currently being filmed. The production team has reportedly adjusted the schedule to wrap up her role first, allowing the actress to step away from work as planned.
Before starting this schedule, Deepika had already completed filming for King, starring Shah Rukh Khan. With both projects wrapped up, she is not expected to sign or begin any new films until she returns from her maternity break.
While Deepika's portions will be completed in the coming days, the makers of Raaka will continue filming with the remaining cast. Allu Arjun and director Atlee are aiming to complete the entire shoot by December, after which the film's release date is expected to be officially announced.
Apart from Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone, Raaka also features Mrunal Thakur, Rashmika Mandanna and Janhvi Kapoor in key roles. The film is being produced by Sun Pictures.
