After playing bubbly lover girl roles in Telugu films like ‘Das Ka Damki’ and ‘Red’, pretty actress Nivetha Pethuraj essays the role of Intelligence Bureau officer in her latest Hindi web series ‘Kaala’ showcasing a fiery side. “Nivetha is a talented girl but finding it hard to bag good roles in Tollywood,” says a source and adds, “When she got this opportunity in ‘Kaala’, she did a good job and looked fit in the officer's avatar. She accomplishes a tough mission along with her colleauges,’ he adds.
Meanwhile, Nivetha Pethuraju is doing a lady-oriented untitled film with director P Manjunath of ‘Ladies & Gentlemen’ fame. "It would be a gripping thriller and Nivetha is playing an author-backed role to showcase varied shades," adds the source.
Probably after playing second fiddle to heroes like Sai Dharam Tej (Chitralahari), Ram(Red), and Viswak Sen (Das Ka Damki), she wanted to carry a film on her slender shoulders and chalk out a new course.
People Media Factory is bankrolling this project and it is one of the much-awaited movies from this banner. "Nivetha did another female-oriented film ‘Bloody Mary’ with director Chandoo Mondeti, wherein she played a role with grey shades as she settled scores with her opponents tactfully," he adds.
Among Malayalam divas, Nivetha is holding her fort in Tollywood, while her colleagues like Nivedha Thomas. Nitya Menon and Malavika Nair have slowed down a bit.
