Sanjana Sanghi on cloud nine
Actress Sanjana Sanghi, who made her full-fledged Bollywood debut with the 2020-film Dil Bechara opposite late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, may not have had the positive impact she had hoped for given the film had released after Sushant was found dead on June 14. But we hear she now has a reason to cheer her role in the film.
The actress received a praiseworthy note from John Green, the author of Fault in Our Stars, the book on which Dil Bechara is based on. Sanjana played the protagonist Kizie on screen. He also empathised with the actress for the loss of her co-star Sushant Singh Rajput.
In the illustrated note, John has praised Sanjana for playing the role well and doing justice to the character. “I thought your performance was magnificent — full of humor and heart and deep wells of emotion. Thank you for giving such wonderful life to Kizie, and doing so, giving new life to Hazel Grace Lancaster (sic),” a part of the note read.
Sanjana shared the message on her Instagram account, which she states, unfortunately, was missed on other messages. “Could NOT resist sharing this moment with you all. And CANNOT be more annoyed with myself for missing this beautiful message for over 3 months. Thank you for these unfathomable words John. I will simply never be able to articulate what this means to me. It takes away so much heartache and pain…(sic),” Sanajana captioned the post.
