Bajirao Mastani was more physically exhausting than xXx: Deepika Padukone

The actress revealed that working with SLB, prepared her well enough for her Hollywood debut.

Mumbai: Deepika Padukone is at the top of her game. She starred in the best of recent hits and her performances in all of them were unanimously lauded. She has Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavati' in her kitty, which will see her reunite with Ranveer Singh and pair up opposite Shahid Kapoor for the very first time, on-screen.

However, her Hollywood debut, Vin Diesel's 'xXx: The Return of Xander Cage,' is what that's caught everyone's fancy, of late. The actress, whose stunts in the trailer raised many an eye, even garnered compliments for her unpretentious and delightfully Indian accent in the film.

The stunts, however, stays with one, way after watching the trailer.

In a recent interview with Rajeev Masand, when queried on if the film was her most physically taxing experience, the actress candidly differed and said it wasn't.

"I think 'Bajirao Mastani' prepared me for this. I won't even say 'Bajirao Mastani,' I'd say working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali has... kind of sets you up for the greates of challenges. From a physical point of view, the kind of training that film required, the kind of action it required, and whatever we went through that movie, physically and emotionally... I was ready to take this on," she confessed without any qualms.

Most of the country saw her immensely credible portrayal a warrior princess in 'Bajirao Mastani,' and loved her to the hilt. We now know what went into the achievement of that credibility. This beinf Deepika, we may expect a similar kind of poise in 'xXx,' and we can barely wait for January 17, 2017 to arrive.
