Watch: Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is not the only time when Aishwarya went no holds barred

Mumbai: Karan Johar released the first teaser of his highly anticipated upcoming directorial, 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', yesterday.

One thing that most viewers could not help but notice was the scintillatingly passionate chemistry between lead actors Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Bachchan.

Reportedly, the Bachchan household was so unnerved by the intensity and passion evident in their intimate scenes that they asked for it to be toned down considerably.

With Aishwarya coming back on the big-screen bigtime, after the debacle that was Sanjay Gupta's 'Jazbaa', we decided to compile some of her most intimate moments on reel, here.

Aishwarya Rai had forayed into Hollywood during the mid-2000s with minimal success but her steamy scenes with actor Dylan McDermott in Paul Mayeda Berges' 'Mistress of Spices,' still is etched into people's memories.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's cult classic love triangle, 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam,' had Aishwarya pairing with her then boyfriend Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn is still a favourite amongst cinephiles. This particular scene emphasising on the internal turmoil of Ash's character's is particularly appreciated for its poignancy.

Aishwarya also had done an extremely passionate song with Sanjay Dutt, in Leena Yadav's 'Shabd', also starring Zayed Khan. Incidentally, Leena's 'Parched' was also mired in controversy, recently, with protagonist Radhika Apte's nude scenes from the film leaking online.

Ashutosh Gowarikar's epic Moghul saga 'Jodha Akbar' is still reminisced for its opulence and the critically acclaimed performances of its eponymous lead performers, Aishwarya and Hrithik Roshan. This song, composed by AR. Rahman, in particular, is still revisited for its soulful music and the lead pair's palpable chemistry.

Subhash Ghai's 'Taal' is oft revisted for its music and for giving Aishwarya's Bollywood career a grand boost. The actress, who played the love interest of the characters played by Akshaye Khanna and Anil Kapoor had a steamy liplock with the former, in the film.

'Dhoom 2' made Hrithik Roshan the 'demi-god' he is, today, and still continues to be a trend-setter. However, a passionate smooch between Hrithik and Aishwarya had courted major controversy with widespread criticism and demands asking for the scene to be completely censored out.

Samir Karnik's 'Kyun! Ho Gaya Na...', starred the then real life couple Vivek Oberoi and Aishwarya in lead roles. Vivek would later on court some career devastating controversy by accusing Salman Khan, Aishwarya's ex, of threatening him, in public, but this intimate scene from the film would still survive the test of time.

Aishwarya starred alongside husband Abhishek Bachchan and south superstar Vikram in the Hindi version of Mani Ratnam, 'Raavan', though she was paired opposite Vikram and not AB junior. Though the scene is not particularly scandalising, the chemistry was unmistakable.
