Don't make it an issue if Salman and I don't meet: Sanjay Dutt
Sanjay Dutt turned 57 this week, celebrating his first birthday outside of jail in three years. The actor hosted a press conference on his birthday at his residence, where he spoke about his health, his love for family and also reiterated his fondness for Salman Khan.
Speaking at the press conference, he put an end to constant rumours of their alleged feuds and said, “Salman is my younger brother. He has and always will be. God has given him all the success and grace. However, I request the media to not make it an issue every time we do not meet, as both of us are quite busy.
They (media) always write about the fights, but never about the healthy meetings. Why would an elder brother fight with a younger brother?” He also expressed gratitude to his well-wishers and said, “I thank everybody who wished me on my birthday. I love Bollywood and the people here.”
The Munnabhai MBBS actor added, “I had spent my last three birthdays in jail. I am so happy that I am a free man and that I can celebrate my birthday with kids.
I will take Iqra and Shahraan for dinner later. In jail, my mates used to celebrate my birthday by making cookies for me.” While his age might be close to sixty, the actor still maintains a lean physique.
Ask him about his secret and he blushes and says, “I spend around four hours a day in the gym. Workout and diet are a calculated science. I make sure that my metabolic rate is stable. I have also quit alcohol and given up unhealthy food items. My diet is like what you get in hospitals.”
As for his birthday, Sanjay has been gifted a new high-end car by his wife Manyata. “My wife has gifted me a car, which has completely taken me by surprise. My kids too have given me a card and a cake. There’s nothing else I need,” he smiled.
On the work front, Sanjay reveals, “My movie with Vidhu Chopra sir, Marco, will start in November. Munnabhai 3 will happen in 2018.” About the delay in making Munnabhai 3, Sanjay says, “Ask Raju and Vidhu sir. Even I am waiting for it.”
