After working on three films with Karan Johar — Dhadak, Kargil Girl and Takht, Janhvi Kapoor is looking for work beyond the Dharma realm. The actress was spotted on Wednesday night visiting Sanjay Leela Bhansali at his office.
“She was looking rather happy after the meeting with Bhansali, she was grinning ear to ear,” said an eyewitness.
“Every actor who works with Karan Johar has a contract for three films. But Karan does allow them to do other projects if asked by a producer or director who he deems fit for the actor,” a trade source said, citing Tara Sutaria as an example. The Student Of The Year 2 actress is currently working on Milap Zaveri’s Marjaavan with Dharma discovery Sidharth Malhotra. As well as on Sajid Nadiadwala’s new film opposite Ahaan Shetty which will be a remake of Telegu action film RX 100.
“In Janhvi’s case, she has completed her quota with Karan and she has chosen to work with him before others,” a source said.
