Exclusive: Farhan Akhtar highly likely to croon for his film The Fakir of Venice

Farhan had shot for 'The Fakir of Venice' even before the release of his movie Rock On.

Mumbai: The multitalented Farhan Akhtar has donned many caps — that of a filmmaker, a producer and an actor.

But perhaps the one role that’s close to him is that of a singer.

After having sung for movies like 'Rock On' and 'Dil Dhadakne Do,' Farhan will reportedly be lending his voice for a song for his movie, 'The Fakir of Venice.'

“While the song is being made right now, we are trying to collaborate with Farhan for it,” reveals the producer of the movie, Punit Desai. “We haven’t received any confirmation yet, but we’re trying our best.”

Even as Farhan is set to promote the movie soon, Punit adds, “It will be a promotional song. If Farhan’s dates work out, then we will have a video, which will also feature him and A.R. Rahman in it. It’s in an initial stage right now, though.”

The film is said to be inspired by filmmaker Homi Adajania’s real life experiences during his travel.

Directed by Anand Surapur, the movie also stars Annu Kapoor and Kamal Sidhu.
