He should have quit long ago: Sonakshi on Shatrughan Sinha’s decision of quitting BJP

Supporting her father Shatrughan Sinha’s decision of quitting Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and joining Congress, actress Sonakshi Sinha says he should have done it long ago.

“My dad, Shatrughan Sinha has been the party member of BJP from the beginning. He has been there from the time of Jayaprakash Narayanji, Atalji and Advaniji. He has vast knowledge and has a lot of respect within the party. I think the entire Sangh group, especially the names that I have mentioned, have not got the respect that they deserve(d). On quitting the party, he should have done it long back. It has been a bit late,” says the actress.

She further adds, “If you are not happy with the way things are happening around you then you should not shy away from the change. When you start feeling suppressed, it better to look for a change. I am happy that my father will be joining Congress though it’s totally his choice. And here, he will be able to do much better things for his people.’

The actress recently appeared on Arbaaz Khan’s show ‘Pinch’ and her episode did very well. When the actress was asked what reply would she give to her haters for body shaming and resorting to personal comments, she says, “Best befitting reply to the haters from my side will be ‘Khamosh’.”

When asked how much time does she take to dress up for such functions, the actress says, “Usually I do not take much time to get ready but today I took a bit too long. I don’t enjoy it. Usually, I take around 45 minutes to get ready on the whole with my makeup, hairdo etc.” So, who is her style icon? “Rekhaji! She is timeless beauty and the style icon,” concludes Sonakshi.
