Karan Johar's babies go home

The twins, born prematurely on February 7, were in the neo-natal intensive care unit until Wednesday, when they were taken home.

Karan Johar’s newborns were finally home on Wednesday. The babies were discharged from Surya Children’s hospital in Juhu, Mumbai, after spending more than a month in the hospital.

The twins — Yash and Roohi — born prematurely via IVF on February 7, were in neo-natal intensive care unit until Wednesday. The news of their arrival however, made its way out only on March 5. The babies are 37 weeks old now.

Daddy dearest, we hear, has planned a big party to welcome the two and has elaborately decked up the rooms the little ones will occupy.

Dr Bhupendra Avasthi, Surya Hospital, said, “The twins were born two-and-a-half months early weighing 1.5 kg. Due to their weight, they needed special care. At the time of discharge, they were healthy and weighed normal.”
