Birthday special: Six Preity Zinta films that still deserve a watch

Mumbai: Preity Zinta, Bollywood's original bubbly girl, turned 41 today.

The much adored actress, who got married to Gene Goodenough in 2016, has been a part of a lot many landmark Bollywood films.

We decided to list the best six for you!

Sangharsh:

Tanuja Chandra's cult classic starred Preity as a cop alongside Akshay Kumar. The film was also popular for Ashutosh Rana's terrific performance.

Kal Ho Na Ho:

Nikhil Advani's modern day re-telling of 'Anand,' starred Preity as the love interest of Shah Rukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan. Despite the leading men getting the best parts, Preity stood her own in the hugely successful film.

Dil Chahta Hai:

Farhan Akhtar's cult coming-of-age flick is predominantly remembered for the Akshaye-Saif-Aamir camaraderie, but Preity, who played Aamir's love interest in the film, won accolades for her performance in the film.

Dil Se:

Despite Shah Rukh Khan and Manisha Koirala being the lead actors, Preity who debuted in the film, announced her arrival with style in the Mani Ratnam directorial. The bubbly actress played SRK's wife in the film.

Kya Kehna:

The sleeper hit starred Preity as a single mother who challenges societal conventions. The film had been popular for its theme and performances, especially Preity's.

Salaam Namaste:

The Sidharth Anand directorial explored live-in relationships way before the concept was in vogue. The Saif Ali Khan-Preity starrer was a hit courtesy its music and riveting performances.
