Shashank Khaitan commences shoot of Ishaan-Janhvi's Dhadak in Rajasthan
Mumbai: Shashank Khaitan, who's been having a streak of hits, with his two films in the Dulhania franchise proving to be big hits, has started work on his next feature, the official remake of the hit Marathi film 'Sairat'.
The film, christened 'Dhadak,' mounted by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, launches Sridevi's daughter Janhvi, alongside Shahid Kapoor's younger brother Ishaan Khatter. Ishaan has already made his debut as an adult actor with Majid Majidi's 'Beyond the Clouds'.

Nagraj Manjule's 'Sairat' had gone on to create history by being the first Marathi film to gross over 100 crores with near unanimous critical acclaim. And now, KJo, has officially kicked off his official Hindi adaptation launching Sridevi's daughter Janhvi Kapoor alongside Shahid Kapoor's younger brother Ishaan Khatter.
While 'Sairat' was set in rural Maharashtra, 'Dhadak' seems to be based out Rajasthan. Ishaan has already finished work on his debut as an adult with Majid Majidi's international film 'Beyond The Clouds'.
'Dhadak' is slated to release on July 06, 2018.
