Actor Nitu is all set to feature in the fourth instalment of Never Back Down: Revolt helmed by Kellie Madison. After representing India three times at the World Taekwondo Championships, she will be making her Hollywood debut through this international film.
Nitu is one of the lucky few who get the opportunity to be a part of such big films without auditioning. Speaking of how she got the part, Nitu shares, “In 2019, I went for the special screening of Will Smith’s Bad Boys by Sony Motion Pictures and I met the producer of the film. During a candid chat, he asked me about my interests, and I told him that I am a 4th Dan blackbelt in Taekwondo. He promptly offered me the role. My character in the film was sketched according to my special skills.”
“Being a Blackbelt 4th Dan in Taekwondo, I was confident in this role. I was prepared for the hardcore action sequences and chose to do them myself, without any body double. I rehearsed for hours to perfect the sequences. The film sees me doing different forms of Martial Arts, especially Taekwondo,” she reveals. Never Back Down — Revolt is written by Audrey Arkins, and also features James Faulkner and Michael Bisping.
