Despite Alia Bhatt’s recent success on the screen, she’s often remembered for her Prithviraj Chauhan gaffe on Koffee with Karan last season. Amongst those who remember is her Dear Zindagi co-star, Shah Rukh Khan.
We hear SRK and Alia are all set to be Karan Johar’s first guests on Koffee with Karan’s fifth installment. And if excerpts are to be trusted, Alia was on the verge of tears on the show.
In a clip from the episode shared by KJo on his Twitter account, SRK was asked what he would do if he woke up as Alia Bhatt one morning. Not one to miss a chance at taking subtle digs, the superstar jokingly replied, “I would read newspapers in the morning.”
Alia can be seen replying to this with, “I don’t want to cry right now,” and “People change on this couch,” thanks to SRK’s endless jibes on her.
Shah Rukh didn’t spare close friend Karan either. When Karan asked what kept SRK from appearing on his show last season, the star sarcastically replied, “That’s because I wanted the show’s TRPs to go down.”
