Bharat: Salim said koi bhi aa jaayega' after Priyanka's exit, Disha gets preference?

Priyanka Chopra’s exit from Salman Khan starrer ‘Bharat’ left many stumped. She might have given the reason of her marriage, but reports strongly suggest that Salman Khan and somewhere even director Ali Abbas Zafar were upset and angry with her move.

Salim Khan however confirming that all’s good, had told SpotBoye, "It’s okay whatever happened. Priyanka is not doing Bharat, let her be. Such things happen in our industry. Nope, it’s not the nth hour. And I repeat, such things happen- sometimes they happen for date issues, or the role, or even the money aspect. Aur kabhi aadmi ki kuch apni majbooriyan hoti hai (People have their own reasons). I haven’t yet got into the details of why Priyanka left Bharat, but we shall soon cast someone else. We are not upset with Priyanka. Salman Khan is also not upset."

When asked who will replace Priyanka, he said, "Koi bhi aa jayeja (uski jagah par). Bahut saare log hain. (Anyone can replace here. There are many people)."

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Disha Patani was also one of the reasons why Priyanka quit the project. Disha will supposedly look younger in the film, and grab more screen time with a meatier role than the lead after impressing director Ali Abbas Zafar with her performance.

If DNA is anything to go by, then another reason was her remuneration. While PeeCee demanded Rs. 13-14 crore for the project, she only received 6.5 crore, which obviously made her upset with the makers.

However, all that’s confirmed for now is that Katrina Kaif has been roped in for the film after Piggy Chops left it.
