Mumbai: Anushka Sharma, who is currently busy with Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming release opposite Shah Rukh Khan, ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’, will fly down to Canada in August for shooting her next with ‘NH10’ director Navdeep Singh, titled ‘Kaneda’.
'Kaneda' will mark Anushka’s third film as a producer after ‘NH10’ and ‘Phillauri’.
The male actors in the film, Diljit Dosanjh and Arjun Kapoor, have started prepping for their respective roles, while the pretty actress will be occupied with JHMS’s promotions in July and join them after the release of the film in Canada.
Interestingly, director Navdeep Singh has worked with Anushka in her debut production ‘NH10’ (under Clean Slate Films banner), which was declared a smashing hit at the box office and earned Sharma rave reviews for her stellar performance.
Diljit has played the role of her love interest in Anushka’s last film ‘Phillauri’, which she also produced, and both the film and their pairing was appreciated by one and all.
There were reports of ‘Kaneda’ being shelved but those rumours are apparently untrue. The film got delayed because all the three actors were engrossed in their other commitments.
However, the production house has released an official statement, saying, "Clean Slate Films is currently extremely busy with the shoot of its third production Pari. The making of Kaneda has been pushed to a later date as Navdeep Singh who is slated to direct the film is currently busy with the making of another project of his with a different production house. We request all to avoid any conjecture on the same and wait for Clean Slate to make the requisite announcement."
