Anil Kapoor or Jackie Shroff: Who gets Karan Johar's next production?

It seems to be a virtual toss up between Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor to play the male lead opposite Madhuri Dixit in Karan Johar’s film, formerly titled Shiddat.

While Anil’s name was the first one to do the rounds as a replacement if Sanjay Dutt officially stepped out of the movie, the former actor has a packed schedule.

As a result, this could well mean that Anil too may have to make way for another actor, if he’s unable to allocate dates from his busy schedule for the movie.
Says a source, “Jackie, who has been paired opposite Madhuri in several films, is being considered as the next option in case Anil doesn’t manage to adjust his dates. Anil has been very excited by a digital project, and may have to let that go if he signs this movie. So, he’s in two minds.”

Shiddat, as the movie was called earlier, has been undergoing several changes. Names from Varun Dhawan to Alia Bhatt, and Aditya Roy Kapur to Sonakshi Sinha are being discussed as actors in the film.
