The new Tiger Shroff number Let’s Talk About Love from the forthcoming film Baaghi has him making some rather intricate dance moves. His co-star Shraddha Kapoor clearly practiced hard to match steps with him. Curiously, the song is being promoted as a tribute to the legendary Shammi Kapoor.
The number has a leading riff from the very famous Shammi Kapoor number Aaj kal tere mere pyar ke charche from the 1968 film Bramhachari. The song composed by Shankar-Jaikishan contained a solo on the saxophone which appears to have found its way into this “homage”.
When asked about the “homage” to Shammi Kapoor, Tiger explained, “I don’t know how far we’ve succeeded in paying a tribute to Shammi sir’s dance style. I guess the homage is in the retro feel and the iconic tune.” Tiger doesn’t feel he can ever match up Kapoor’s dance moves. “I have tried but I doubt I could match up to his legendary energy.”
