Beyond the Star, a docu-series on Salman Khan’s journey in Bollywood, will reportedly be anchored by Alia Bhatt and several others. An entertainment portal reports that Alia has already shot her portions for the series.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali (SLB), Sajid Nadiadwala and Sooraj Barjatya are among others who will be a part of the series, which went on the floors earlier this month. Karan Johar is also likely to involved, the reports said.
Alia and Salman were to work together in SLB’s Inshallah. Beyond The Star will touch on Salman’s family – his father Salim Khan, brothers Sohail and Arbaaz Khan, and his industry friends, co-stars and directors such as Sajid Nadiadwala, David Dhawan, Sooraj Barjatya, Anees Bazmee, Jackie Shroff, Sanjay Dutt.
Beyond The Star: Salman Khan will be the first season, and the makers plan to turn it into a franchise later. The series is currently in post-production and the makers are looking to tie-up with an international OTT platform to release it next year.
