'Could not have disrespected Aishwarya like that': Ranbir clears air about comment

Mumbai: Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's sizzling chemistry in 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', was evident through their intimate scenes which had generated significant buzz about the film. And when Ranbir was asked about the intimate scenes in an interview during promotions, he had reportedly stated that initially he was nervous about performing the scenes but Aishwarya helped relax by saying that they were just doing their job as actors. Ranbir was reported as saying, "Tabhi maine socha, kabhi aisa mauka milega nahi, so maine bhi mauke pe chauka maar diya!".

However, the actor is not too happy with some of the reports that were based on his comment. In a statement, Ranbir said that his comments were “taken in bad taste” and were blown out of context and sensationalized.

"Aishwarya is such a superb actor and also a family friend. She's one of India's most talented and respected women. I will be forever grateful to her for her contribution to Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. I could not have disrespected her like that,” the statement read.
