The film is based on the revered battle of Saragarhi and will be made on an international scale and will have a breathtaking cast list. The Battle at Saragarhi is one of eight stories of collective bravery published by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization). It has been mentioned as one of the five most significant events of its kind in the world which includes the Battle of Thermopylae associated with the heroic stand of a small Greek force against the mighty Persian Army of Xerxes I in 480 B.C.
After his much anticipated directorial venture ‘Shivaay’ that is slated to release on Diwali this year, the actor will start shooting for ‘Sons of Sardar: Battle of Saragarhi’.
