Watch: Farhan and Annu display amazing chemistry in The Fakir of Venice trailer

Mumbai: Farhan Akhtar might have made his debut in Bollywood with Abhishek Kapoor's 'Rock On!!,' but very few people know that the accomplished filmmaker was supposed to make his maiden acting advent with 'The Fakir of Venice'.

The film, which has been in the backburner for nearly nine years now, has finally seen the light of the day, and is up for release.

The first trailer, which gives a fair hint of the plot, no where looks dated, thanks to someexemplary cinematography.

Farhan, who leads the game as a conmon on a quirky mission, doesn't come across as somone who's facing the camera for the very first time.

The actor has able company in Annu Kapoor, who displays his flair for versatile acting once again, as a debauched smalltime crook, who poses as a saint from the North.

Helmed by Anand Surapur based on a screenplay by Rajesh Devraj, the film is impressive with its trailer, novel in its implementation, and exciting with its immense plot potential.
