Salman Khan behind SRK-Katrina casting coup for Aanand L Rai's next?

Mumbai: Aanand L Rai’s much awaited film, tentatively titled ‘Katrina Meri Jaan’, is finally over its casting woes and now has not just one but two actresses on board- Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.

But if you thought this casting coup was pulled off by the ace director himself, then you are clearly mistaken. A little birdie tells us that good friend and superstar of the lead actor, Shah Rukh Khan, has a key role to play in it.

Sallu Bhai, just like a zillion times in the past, made a special request to the makers of the film to cast Katrina for this ambitious project where SRK will be seen as a dwarf. Not just former lovers, Kats and Salman are also great friends, with the actress often referring to the superstar's family as hers. The Khans, too, share a special bond of friendship and have always rooted for each other. It is for the sake of this camaraderie that SRK agreed to do a cameo (as a magician) in Salman’s upcoming film ‘Tubelight’.

This is not the first time that Shah Rukh, Katrina and Anushka are teaming up for a film, they had worked together in YRF’s 2012- release ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’. While Salman’s ‘Tubelight’ is getting a solo release on June 25, Shah Rukh Khan has just started shooting for his part in ‘Katrina Meri Jaan’.
