Mumbai: Saif Ali Khan-starrer ‘Chef,’ which is an adaptation of the Hollywood movie by the same name, has postponed the film’s release from July to August this year.
‘Chef’ was initially slated to release on July 14, and a few days ago, the makers of ‘Jagga Jasoos’ announced their film's release date on the same day itself.
The makers might have probably taken this decision to avoid a clash at the Box Office with Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif-starrer ‘Jagga Jasoos,’ which is a family entertainer.
Considering lady luck has not been very generous on Saif’s film career in the recent past, a clash would have further worsened the situation. Also the fact that Ranbir and Saif are family, must have influenced the producers' decision.
The film would have not only raced against ‘Jagga Jasoos,’ but also Shraddha Kapoor’s ‘Haseena: The Queen of Mumbai.’
A wise decision must say!...
