Ranbir is a well brought up man: Alia Bhatt\'s mother Soni Razdan
Mumbai: Actress Alia Bhatt’s mother, veteran actress Soni Razdan, is extremely proud of her daughter’s achievements like any other mother. Apart from flourishing professionally, Alia is also in news for being in a relationship with actor Ranbir Kapoor. Reacting to which, Soni says her daughter knows how to manage her personal and professional life.
“I think the work is happening enough and personal life is a personal life and that’s it. A balance of both is very important and I would be happy as a mother if she is happy in all the aspects her lives… like all mothers want it to be,” says Soni and adds, “We would want our kids to be settled, happy and not stressed about relationships or anything…it is her life basically,”
Ranbir was recently seen spending some time with Alia’s family on her birthday and Soni can’t stop gushing about Ranbir.
“I have always admired him as an actor much before I knew him as a person. I have come to know him a little bit. He is a well brought up and balanced man. I am quite impressed so far… He is a very sweet and caring man, he has got some good qualities,” says the veteran actress, who was last seen in Raazi where she played Alia’s on-screen mother.
There have also been reports about the two getting married but Soni dismisses them. “There are always rumours, do not believe them,” she says.
Meanwhile, Soni will now be seen in No Fathers In Kashmir that releases next Friday. The film, directed by Ashvin Kumar, is about a teenage British-Kashmiri, Noor, who re-traces her roots in search of her father.
Her daughter Alia has also been promoting the film. Soni says, “I am sure its helped to draw some attention. This film deserves to be seen.”
Adding more about the film, she says, “We shot for it in 2016. What attracted me to do the film was that the story is set in Kashmir and is written by someone who knows Kashmir very well. This film shows a certain side of Kashmir, which we are not familiar with. This script is beautifully written. It is a tender love story and is full of reality and irony. I was fascinated with the story.”
