Konkona wins Best Director' at MAMI, Ranvir Shorey first one to applaud
Mumbai: Actress Konkona Sensharma, who turned director with ‘A Death in the Gunj’ is on cloud 9 following her big win at the 18th Jio MAMI Mumbai International Film Festival. Sensharma has won the Best Director award for her directorial debut.
She tweeted: Thrilled to receive the award for Best Female Director at MAMI 16! Thanks Universe.
Among the first ones to congratulate her was her former husband Ranvir Shorey. He replied to her tweet, saying: Congratulations! A well deserved feather in your cap!
Shorey and Konkona parted ways after being married for 5 years in 2015 and have a son named Haroon. However, the former couple are in good terms and continue to work together.
‘A Death in the Gunj’ also stars Ranvir, Kalki Koelchin, Gulshan Devaiya among others.
