Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu wrap up first leg of shoot for 'Naam Shabana'
Mumbai: Actors Taapsee Pannu and Akshay Kumar have finished the Malaysia schedule of their upcoming film ‘Naam Shabana’.
The film, which is an official prequel to the 2015 hit 'Baby', was shot across the famous locations of Kuala Lumpur, including the City Centre and close to the Petronas Towers.
Taapsee will be seen playint the eponymous agent, reprising her acclaimed cameo from 'Baby' into a full-fledged protagonist.
"Finished the second leg of 'Naam Shabana'. A very well planned and successfully executed schedule. So much to learn watching Akshay sir do action live. We are all very locked about his project. Starting the next schedule in a week's time," said Taapsee.
Taapsee, who's fresh from the phenomenal success of her recent release 'Pink', is quite excited about the film, and said that Akshay's cameo was pretty much half the battle won for her.
'Naam Shabana', which is being helmed by Shivam Nair, is slated for a 2017 release. Akshay himself will be teaming up with producer Neeraj Pandey, on his upcoming directorial, 'Crack'.
The crew will soon be commencing the shoot of the second schedule in Mumbai.
Directed by Shivam Nair, the film will hit theatres next year.
