Mumbai: Anushka Sharma-Shah Rukh Khan starrer Imtiaz Ali’s Jab Harry Met Sejal got average to negative reviews upon release which ultimately resulted into a failure at the box office. There were lot of expectations from the movie as it marked first collaboration of both SRK and Anushka with the acclaimed director, Ali.

Despite the huge hype around the film it did not go well with the audience and critics alike who trashed it for poor storyline and uneven screenplay.

In the recent interview with a channel when Anushka was asked about her film’s failure, she said, ‘’You want all films to do well, you want people to like your film. But that’s not the case every time. It’s something that you need to be aware of and mindful of and I am. I don’t have unrealistic expectations of myself as an actor.’’

‘’It’s the audience who decides the fate of your films and I respect that. And every time you learn something new from all your films. I completely own my success. I have many successful films in my credit. So, I have accepted the average response to my films’’, she added.

Earlier, filmmaker Imtiaz Ali had said, ‘’I have not made this film for praise. You know I would like to be the director who can make different kinds of films. This one is made to reach the maximum number of people. Not to just get praise for myself. I have been a veteran at this. When Tamasha released, a lot of people praised the film but the film was not reaching the audience.’’

After Jab Harry Met Sejal , Anushka-SRK will be once again seen in Anand L Rai’s next along with Katrina Kaif in the lead.
