Aditya gets all kind of premieres

Aditya’s last theatrical outing Malang, which was yanked off theatres following the pandemic, hit the small screen on July 26

Even as OTT gets film premieres, television is getting some too. Aditya Roy Kapoor has started dubbing for the film Ludo with Anurag Basu at Sunny Super Sound amidst a very high-level sanitisation process, and the film is slated to hit an OTT platform soon.

“Anurag is a taskmaster. He makes sure the intonations are exactly right because his film is a rather sensitive one,” says Aditya.

Abhishek also was to dub for Ludo, but has been grounded for a few days by the Covid-19 infection.

Meanwhile Aditya’s last theatrical outing, Malang, which was yanked off theatres following the pandemic, hit the small screen on July 26 on Sony Max.

Malang also stars Anil Kapoor, Disha Patani and Kunal Khemu in pivotal roles.
“I’ve very fond memories of filming Malang in Goa,” says the Aashiqui 2 actor.

“Preparing for the character was interesting because I was playing him at two different times in his life, before and after certain events. There was a marked change in the character from the past to the present and for some of the younger portions, I had to tap into my teenage years and that was a fun journey. I spent a lot of time in Goa in my carefree teenage days, so I went there a week or so before the shoot to revisit all the places that I used to go to. The other portion had another physicality to it and I needed to toughen up and bulk up on the outside, apart from obviously trying to understand what a person goes through who has faced traumatic events. Overall, it was a very rewarding journey.”
