Priyanka used engagement excuse to quit Bharat as more actresses kept joining cast?

It’s no longer a secret. The actress has walked out of Salman Khan’s Bharat and the reason is her wedding to Nick Jonas. Well, that wasn’t just a rumour that’s doing the round because the couple already has a date in place. We hear Priyanka and Nick will exchange their vows this October. And guess what? She has already figured out her wedding gown!

Online reports had claimed that the couple had exchanged promise rings long back. Fans got a glimpse of that when Nick was in Mumbai for the first time with the actress. The couple both sported the Cartier love bands which is usually exchanged when a relationship gets serious.

It’s basically a sign of commitment and the first token of a serious relationship. But they wanted to finalise things only after Nick met her family and the latter warmed up to him. The trip to Mumbai and Goa perhaps worked out well for the couple to plan their wedding already. Confirming her relationship with Nick for the first time, PC had told People.com, “We’re getting to know each other and I think it was a great experience for him. It was really beautiful. He had a great time. That’s what he said. I think he really enjoyed it.” Well, the ‘getting to know’ phase is officially over!

While we are still busy digesting the fact that Priyanka Chopra is no longer a part of Salman Khan’s Bharat, due to her wedding plans, there is more to this story. An online report quoting sources close to the film production claim that Priyanka was getting jittery about Salman adding more heroines to the film, Initially it just meant to be her and Disha Patani. But then Tabu and Norah Fatehi have also been added to the cast.

That’s when Priyanka realised that her initially meaty role may have been compromised. So she smartly used her secret engagement as a facing saving measure to get out of the film.

However, news of her wedding plans are apparently true. As per the sources of People website, the couple got engaged a week ago on her 36th birthday while the two were in London. Jonas closed down a Tiffany store in New York City to buy an engagement ring, and that’s the sweetest gesture anyone would think off.

A source close to the American singer even revealed how happy he is and that this relationship means a lot to him. “His friends and family have never seen him like this, and they’re all really excited for him. He’s definitely very serious about her,” the source added.

The couple wants to settle down by this year-end and marriage is one prime reason behind her exit from Bharat. Guess, this engagement news is like the final nail in the coffin.

Priyanka and Nick who met at the Met Gala 2017 stayed in touch for over a year until they decided to date. The news of them being Hollywood and Bollywood’s new IT couple made headlines and their romance was nothing short of a fairy tale. While the couple has already met their respective families, the ring is an additional factor that sealed their relationship further.

Infact when Priyanka returned from the US this time, she appeared somewhat conscious about a ring on her finger, which she subtly removed by placing her hand in her pocket. Guess she was not ready to make that announcement then. Now, we hope to hear the marriage bells soon.
