Shukla Sikand, wife of late Bollywood actor Pran, passed away due to age-related ailments, on Sunday, in Mumbai. She was 91.
"She passed away yesterday due to age-related ailments at 2.30 am at (our) home," her son Sunil told PTI today.
93-year-old Pran died in 2013 at a city hospital. Pran and Shukla had three children together- daughter Pinky and two sons Arvind and Sunil.
Pran made his on-screen debut with a Punjabi film called Yamla Jat (1940), where he played a villain. The film went on to become a huge hit and served as an encouragement for the star to move to Mumbai and audition for Bollywood films.
It wasn't long before Pran made an impact in the industry and went on to become Bollywood’s favourite villain.
