First look: Gautam Gulati to play cricket commentator in Azhar
Mumbai: Ever since he won ‘Bigg Boss 8’, life’s been a whirlwind for Gautam Gulati. After making an official announcement of entering Bollywood with ‘Udanchoo’, the actor has been in limelight for some or the other reasons. He even opted out from ‘Udanchoo’ to feature in Ekta Kapoor’s much-talked movie ‘Azhar’, a biopic on Mohammad Azharuddin. Makers of ‘Azhar’ took to Twitter and released Gautam’s first look from the film.

Gautam has signed a three-film deal with Balaji Telefilms Limited. While there have been reports about being approached for the second film ‘XXX’, he maintains that has not been approached for the same.
Prachi Desai has also been cast opposite Emraan in ‘Azhar’. The film will reportedly highlight the cricketer's much-talked about affair and marriage to actress Sangeeta Bijlani. Towards the end of his career the cricketer was accused of match fixing, which will also be another major focus of the film. Tony D’Souza directs ‘Azhar’. Scripted by Rajat Aroraa, ‘Azhar’ is slated for release on 13th May 2016.
