Producer, director, chat show host and actor Karan Johar has juggled many roles in his career so far. But he will be dropping off the social radar for at least a year — all in order to focus on his twins Roohi and Yash.
Not only will he stay away from directing, but will also abandon plans of doing another season of Koffee With Karan for the twins’ sake.
Says a close friend of the filmmaker, “Of late, Karan has drastically cut down on his work, but he’s still not able to spend enough time with his children. Now, as Roohi and Yash are growing up, they recognise their father, and demand his time. Now is when he must spend as much time as possible with them.” The friend adds that Karan will take complete time off from his professional engagements.
“He did try to bring his twins to his work, and even got a room specially done for them there. But it’s just not enough. He needs to focus completely on the twins for a while,” the friend adds.
