Deccan Chronicle had earlier reported that producer Sandeep Singh had applied for permissions in the month of January. The team had camped themselves in Amritsar but they were all waiting for a nod of approval from the Ministry of Home Affairs.

As a confirmation to this, actress Richa Chadha shared a photo with her fans on Instagram and emphasized the Wagah border schedule was underway.

The team shot one of the most important sequences in the film at the high-security spot. It’s the scene where Dalbir Kaur, Sarabjit’s sister, played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is interacting with the officials at the border asking them to allow her to meet Sarabjit in Lahore.
