Hyderabad: As event was on, hot' SRK removes gown
Hyderabad: The sixth convocation of Maulana Azad National Urdu University was marred when traditions were dispensed with.
While the convocation was going on, actor Shah Rukh Khan, who was given a honorary doctorate, actor removed his cap and, a few minutes later, his convocation gown because he was feeling hot. For most part of the convocation, the actor was wearing black glares which he removed later.
University Chancellor Zafar Younus Sareshwala stopped the proceedings in between as the actor had to leave. Khan was asked to deliver a longer speech for students. The convocation started a few minutes late than scheduled time.
Mr Sareshwala got down from the podium after Khan’s speech to escort the actor out of the venue, after which the convocation resumed. Mr Sareshwala said on stage that he was not a person who follows protocol. Mr Sareshwala fumbled while conferring honorary doctorate on Mr Khan in Urdu.
