Mumbai: The makers of Batti Gul Mere Chalu, which stars Shahid Kapoor, are now negotiating with Abhishek Bachchan to play an extended cameo in their film.
Interestingly, the producer of the movie, Prerna Arora, is producing Fanney Khan as well, which stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. So, they’ve approached Abhishek for a cameo, but for the Shree Narayan directed movie.
“Abhishek has a great record when it comes to multi-starcast movies. He’s very careful when he does solo starrers, and even showed nerves before the J. P. Dutta movie Paltan went on floors, eventually choosing to opt out at the last minute. He’s not had any release since Housefull 3 last year either,” says a source close to the movie.
The actor being unsure of his movies has a lot of filmmakers in a quandary now, and understandably so. ‘What if he drops out at the last minute now?’ is a genuine concern for many of them. However, the Batti Gul makers are quite confident that he will agree to their movie.
