Sharmila Tagore made a rare appearance at the recent Vogue Beauty Awards, and was grateful to be invited
“I am glad to be here and glad that they think I am relevant,” said Tagore, who attended the event with her granddaughter Sara Ali Khan.
“I have never seen anyone more graceful than my grandmother. She conducts herself so well at all time, and she has been such a wonderful actress as well. Sharing the stage with her is a special moment for me,” said Sara about her badi amma.
When asked who her favourite actress is, Sharmila didn’t choose any of the stars from her family —Amrita Singh, Kareena Kapoor, Soha Ali Khan or Sara Ali Khan — and instead she chose Alia Bhatt.
“Alia Bhatt is my favourite actress. She is a wonderful performer,” the legendary actress said in conclusion.
