Hope for the best, prepare for the worst: Shahid Kapoor
Kabir Singh star Shahid Kapoor is taking his time to make the big announcement for his next project. The actor is happy to have essayed characters from Haider to Kaminey, and Udta Punjab to Kabir Singh.
“I think whatever work you do is important, and you have a chance to work on anything. This job provides opportunities to play many different people, look very different, discover different sides of yourself, delve inside to understand who you are, and create different emotional experiences for the audience,” says Shahid.
“One should never be satisfied. The memories of what you do, and when you work more, they stay with you. The more work you do, the better you became. I am fortunate to have been working here for a decade and half, and I still have a lot of work to do. With every year you grow older, there are more exciting talented people who come along. But as far as you are getting opportunities and people are interested in you, you should enjoy it and give it your best,” the actor adds.
As for his plan for the future, the actor is keen to do something worth the audience’s while. “Whatever project I do next has to be a good film. It is not important how much money it collects, but I really feel that there is a need for me to return the love I have received. You should always hope for the best and prepare for the worst,” he concludes.
