Have no idea about it: Rishi Kapoor on controversy with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil
Actor Rishi Kapoor wasn’t his usual ‘happy-to-comment’ self when we called to ask him for his reaction to the MNS warning issued to all Pakistani artists to return to their country. This would have a direct impact on Karan Johar’s upcoming film, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which features Rishi’s son, Ranbir Kapoor and Pakistani actor, Fawad Khan.
Rishi’s ringtone is the title track of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. However, we were jolted when the actor very curtly asked “Kaam kya hai bolo?” We still went ahead and asked him his opinion on Fawad Khan being asked to return to Pakistan. He said tersely, “Well, I have no idea about it. The only fact I know is that my son is playing a pivotal role in the film.”
We pressed him further as to what would happen to Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. By now, Rishi was really annoyed and said, “But why should you ask me such a question? I told you my son is in the film, that’s all I know.”
The conversation ended abruptly as the veteran actor hung up the phone.
Meanwhile, we hear Ranbir Kapoor and director Anuraag Basu are busy shooting the last leg of Jagaa Jasoos. Our sources wonder whether this is a patchwork shoot or if they’re shooting fresh scenes.
Ranbir Kapoor is banking on Ae Dil Hai Mushkil to do well, as he has had many flops in the last few years. No wonder dad Rishi got angry when asked about the MNS threat to ban the film.
