Aahana Kumra has been cast as a glamourous talent agent in a new show Call My Agent: Bollywood written by Abbas and Hussain Dalal and directed by Shaad Ali. Soni Razdan, Rajat Kapoor and Ayush Mehra also star in the series, which is a remake of the French comedy called Dix Pour Cent.

In the show, Aahana plays Amal Ahmed, an agent of the company they’re trying to save after its founder’s sudden demise. “I have thoroughly enjoyed shooting for the show as I’ve been fond of it myself. Given that this is also an untapped genre of sorts, I am excited to see the response from the audience. In fact, I’ve already been getting messages from friends, family and fans about how they are all looking forward to the series. I am super happy that we’re bringing what goes on behind the scenes on the screens. As someone who knows what goes into making actors and making everything look the way it looks, this is definitely going to be fun to watch,” says Aahana.

Aahana, in the meantime, has been shooting for her next film in London, which is a crime thriller.

“I am extremely grateful to continue working in such times, especially in a movie that I strongly believe in and a character that I’ve never done before. I am super excited to shoot in London with a great cast, and lovely people associated with the project,” she says without revealing the details on the project.
Seen earlier in Lipstick Under My Burkha, Khuda Haafiz, and shows like Agent Raghav - Crime Branch, Yudh, Betaal, Forbidden Love, Yours Truly and Marzi, Aahana also did an audio drama called Sansani, on the I Hear You — The Chronicles Of A Clairaudient Detective for MnM Talkies during the pandemic.
“The chance to record the first episode of an audio drama during my isolation was refreshing. I enjoyed the process, the story, and the power of the audio medium. I am so glad that people are enjoying my work and appreciating it,” she adds.
