Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt\'s Inshallah shelved

According to sources, Salman is in talks with various filmmakers to quickly make and release a film by Eid 2020.

The Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial Inshallah, which stars Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt, will not release on Eid 2020, as was announced by the actor on Twitter. “The film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali is pushed but I will still see you all on Eid, 2020. Insha-Allah!” Salman wrote.

Amidst wild speculations about what will happen next, Bhansali Productions tweeted: “Bhansali Productions has decided to not go ahead with Inshaa-Allah for now.... Further, announcement will be out soon.... God willing!”

“Bhansali is not going ahead with the project on his own. There is nothing for anyone to speculate. He is one of the finest filmmakers in the country and would not proceed with anything just like that. But then you can expect him to announce something in the days to come,” says a senior film industry source.

Meanwhile, rumour has it that Salman is now planning another film that will be made and released in time for Eid, but the nature of the project he is doing is unclear.

According to sources, there is a variety of options. “There is a Remo D Souza film which needs Salman to dance quite a bit, there are talks of the third instalment of the Tiger franchise by Ali Abbas Zafar, and then there is Kick 2 by Sajid Nadiadwala. What remains to be seen is whether he will work on one of these or just opt for something else. He also has given his dates for shooting Bigg Boss this year,” says a trade source.

Meanwhile, Salman’s next release Dabangg 3 will be out by the end of this year.
