Mumbai: Shahid Kapoor and his wife Mira Rajput welcomed their first child, a baby girl, into their life on Friday. The happy dad announced the news on Twitter in the most endearing manner.

Shahid had married Mira, who is younger to him by 13 years, in July 2015. Following numerous reports and speculation surrounding Mira’s pregnancy, Shahid had finally confirmed at an event in April that he was indeed going to be father. The couple posted numerous adorable pictures in the 'expecting' phase, which were a treat for the fans.
Bollywood celebrities like Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma, Karan Johar among others, extremely delighted with the news, took to Twitter to convey their heartiest regards.
